Carbon
A key player in the economic development of the Charleroi metropolitan area, Sambrinvest becomes Carbon to assert an ambition that goes beyond business financing. Through financial investment and property development, the organisation helps turn entrepreneurial ambitions into concrete projects, shaping a more dynamic, attractive and resilient region. This new name and identity reflect an ongoing transformation and Carbon's ambition to make a lasting impact on the Charleroi metropolitan area.
Challenge
Despite its pivotal role in Charleroi's economic development, Sambrinvest was primarily perceived as a financing organisation. Its name, identity and communications no longer fully reflected the breadth of its activities, entrepreneurial mindset or regional ambitions. The challenge was to move beyond this institutional image and reveal a committed, ambitious and results-driven player capable of making a real difference. The objective was to build a more distinctive brand, rooted in Charleroi's industrial heritage while expressing a more forward-thinking personality.
Solution
The strategic repositioning gave rise to Carbon, a brand inspired by Charleroi's industrial history and designed to embody its potential for transformation. The new name evokes a raw material capable of being transformed into energy and creating value. It reflects the ambition of an organisation that does more than finance projects, actively helping to shape them. This vision comes to life through the tagline 'Shaping what's next.', a strong brand platform and a powerful visual identity built around materiality and movement. A coherent brand universe that brings together financial rigour, entrepreneurial boldness and a commitment to the region.
Unlocking potential
The name Carbon echoes the mining heritage of Charleroi's 'Pays Noir', or Black Country. It refers to the element fundamental to life and the main component of coal, a material deeply rooted in the region's history. This dual meaning conveys the idea of raw energy that, when harnessed and given direction, becomes a driving force for transformation.

Two areas of expertise, one shared ambition
The new brand architecture clarifies Carbon's two complementary areas of expertise. Financial investment supports business creation, growth and succession. Property development designs and develops infrastructure that encourages businesses to establish themselves, grow and contribute to the region's economic attractiveness. Two areas of expertise united under a single identity, serving a broader vision for Charleroi.

An identity shaped from raw material
Carbon's visual identity draws inspiration from the transformation of raw materials. Its bold lines and sharp-cut angles express precision, strength and craftsmanship. A distinctive graphic language, both minimalist and powerful, that reinforces the brand's determined character.
